WordPress Giveaway Plugin For CubePoints | Run Contests & Bets On Your Site!

This is the ultimate giveaway system for WordPress! If you need a plugin that can handle how you manage a giveaway / pick winners & have your users want to promote your giveaway on Twitter, Google+ & Facebook, then your search has ended! Plus it comes with a gambling / betting system!

Your members can enter the CubePoints Giveaway System many different ways, including getting extra entries into the giveaway for promoting your site on Twitter, Google+, & Facebook!

Admins can create a unique link, which you can put on your Facebook fan page. I highly recommend that you set it up to only be visible to people that like your page. You can use this free Facebook App to show content to fans only. Members that click that unique link on your Facebook fan page while logged into your site will get an entry into the giveaway. You can also create a unique link that works the same way for your YouTube channel.

Plus, you can setup another unique url that you can promote however you’d like, but only the first 10 people, for example, that click that link will get a bonus entry into the giveaway. You can change the limit from 10 in this example to anything you wish in the admin area.

Video entries are supported as well. As a giveaway admin, from the front end, you can manually add video entries. The video entry limit for a specific member is set in the admin. You can add bonus entries for a member if you wish as well.

You can have up to 5 giveaways running at once! It’s just a simple shortcode you use to place on any post or page you desire.

Click here to see all the various ways a member can enter the Giveaway & Betting System for CubePoints. Plus see how the betting system works and how you can get this on your website!

Adding Support For Other BuddyPress / WordPress Plugins To CubePoints Buddypress Integration

Plugin authors can now tie directly into CubePoints Buddypress Integration and add options to the admin menu. Such as setting values for earning/deducting points. You can also log the actions.

Let’s get started. I’ll explain the best I can what these functions do.

cp_points($type, $uid, $points, $data)

  • $type: Your unique action identifier (It identifies the purpose of the point)
  • $uid: the user id to which points should be given
  • $points: how many points you want to give
  • $data: Don’t worry about this one. We can leave it blank. I can be used to show more detailed info in the database if you’d like to run queries on it.
    • Not sure how to fully use this since there is no documentation. But if you place something in there it won’t show on the front end in the logs. Only the database.

Here is the function you need to add to your action to give/remove points.

CloudFlare Review | Better Speed & Security | Better Bounce Rate & Pageviews | Free CDN (Content Delivery Network) | HostGator

Before I get into my review. Here is an overview is what CloudFlare is about:

CloudFlare protects and accelerates any website online. Once your website is a part of the CloudFlare community, its web traffic is routed through our intelligent global network. We automatically optimize the delivery of your web pages so your visitors get the fastest page load times and best performance. We also block threats and limit abusive bots and crawlers from wasting your bandwidth and server resources. The result: CloudFlare-powered websites see a significant improvement in performance and a decrease in spam and other attacks. | More information about CloudFlare can be found here.

Best of all it is FREE! You get a a lot of features on the free version as well. There is a pro version if you interested in that. But I don’t see a need to upgrade to the pro version currently. But who knows maybe down the road I might.

CloudFlare will cache static files such as images, css and js files. So if your site is dynamic it will run exactly as before but with a key difference. It’s dramatically speed up and protected from the evil doers of the web. I have CloudFlare enabled on several WordPress installs and a Joomla install as well. No issues on any of them whatsoever.

The website speed difference is night and day. With CF (CloudFlare) enabled it was loading within a couple seconds. Here is a 3rd party test I did on a page where the content rarely changes:
