[Update: Cubepoints 3] Integrate CubePoints into Simple:Press Forum | WordPress

Note: This is for CubePoints 3.0 and above

I’ve made this a little easier, no need to edit core files anymore. First do the following:

Find the file sf-hook-template.txt (simple-forum/forum/hooks/sf-hook-template.txt) and rename it to sf-hook-template.php. Save it in the same directory that sf-hook-template.txt was located in.

Search for this:

	  function sf_hook_post_save($newpost, $action)

Add this code right after that. The 25 is for how many points a new forum topic is worth and 5 is for a new reply in a existing topic.

	    global $current_user;
	     if ($action=="topic") {
	     	     cp_points('cp_spf_new_topic', cp_currentUser(), get_option('cp_spf_new_topic'), "");
	     if ($action=="post") {
	     	     cp_points('cp_spf_new_reply', cp_currentUser(), get_option('cp_spf_new_reply'), "");

Last step is saving extendcb.txt and renaming it as extendcb.php and placing it in this folder.

Then activate the module from the CubePoints Modules Page.

How to Force www to Avoid Duplicate Content on Google | .htaccess

Apparently google doesn’t like it sometimes when your site can be accessed under: &

To remedy this go to your .htaccess file to force www on your website. This should be in the root of your website. It will do a 301 Permanent redirect, which will force search engines to use the www version.

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^
RewriteRule ^(.*)$$1 [R=301]

Another option if this doesn’t work.

# Forcing www. infront of domain
RewriteEngine On
Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(domain\.com)$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.%1/$1 [R=301,L]

This only works on website hosted with Linux. Let me know if there are other ways of doing this and I’ll update this post.

How to install/remove suspension rings on a Stella Sidecar

It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve had the Stella Sidecar combo. I noticed the suspension rings had small cracks in them. So I decided to replace them before they broke while I had a passenger in there.

To remove them you will need to remove 6 nuts from the bottom of the side car. Which is easy to get to from underneath. You can leave the bolts in place. After that I just used a small jack stand to prop up the sidecar enough so the bolts don’t touch anything.
