Studio Ghibli (dynamic) iGoogle Theme Removed from Directory by Google

I awoke to a white iGoogle page this morning instead of my awesome Studio Ghibli theme. There was a message in its place that read “Your theme has been removed due to a complaint”. Yet I have seen no such “complaints” on my end. Yet all these studio ghibli themes remain? Also all those themes I just linked to don’t change the image at all.

So sadly it’s now gone, if you try to go to the theme directory where it was it’s just a white page. Not sure who complained but thanks to them it’s now gone. I had 100,000+ people using the theme and had from what I remember over 200+ ratings and average was 4 1/2 stars out of 5 max plus one of the themes with the most comments too. So a LOT of people are going to be disappointed and angry including myself.

Originally I just created this for myself and my wife to use. I was happy to see that so many others enjoyed it as well. Thanks for all your support in the past. Here was the description of the theme for old times sake ..

This dynamic anime theme changes 14 times throughout the day. Also each image has a small white Totoro hidden in it, think of it like a Easter Egg Hunt! Thank you Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli for creating these wonderful characters and worlds for us to enjoy! Here are the characters in this theme (in order):

Tanuki – Pom Poko
Kiki – Kiki’s Delivery Service
Porco Rosso
Sophie and Howl – Howl’s Moving Castle
Seita and Setsuko – Grave of the Fireflies
Kodama – Princess Mononoke
Laputa Robot Soldier – Laputa: Castle in the Sky
Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea
Nausicaa – Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
No Face – Spirited Away
Cat Bus – My Neighbor Totor
Soot Sprites – Spirited Away
Totoro – My Neighbor Totoro
The Baron and Muta – The Cat Returns

Save Totoro’s forest! It would be sad to see this forest fade away :( http://totoroforestproject.org

CloudFlare Review | Better Speed & Security | Better Bounce Rate & Pageviews | Free CDN (Content Delivery Network) | HostGator

Before I get into my review. Here is an overview is what CloudFlare is about:

CloudFlare protects and accelerates any website online. Once your website is a part of the CloudFlare community, its web traffic is routed through our intelligent global network. We automatically optimize the delivery of your web pages so your visitors get the fastest page load times and best performance. We also block threats and limit abusive bots and crawlers from wasting your bandwidth and server resources. The result: CloudFlare-powered websites see a significant improvement in performance and a decrease in spam and other attacks. | More information about CloudFlare can be found here.

Best of all it is FREE! You get a a lot of features on the free version as well. There is a pro version if you interested in that. But I don’t see a need to upgrade to the pro version currently. But who knows maybe down the road I might.

CloudFlare will cache static files such as images, css and js files. So if your site is dynamic it will run exactly as before but with a key difference. It’s dramatically speed up and protected from the evil doers of the web. I have CloudFlare enabled on several WordPress installs and a Joomla install as well. No issues on any of them whatsoever.

The website speed difference is night and day. With CF (CloudFlare) enabled it was loading within a couple seconds. Here is a 3rd party test I did on a page where the content rarely changes:
